Applicant's Story

Regarding your work experience, what's most appealing to you?

'The purpose of my work'

When do you know you've done a good job?

'I feel it'

Why are you a caregiver... or want to become one?

'I am very empathetic and caregiving is very rewarding. Knowing that i can make a difference in someone elses life is the best feeling in the world. '

Tell me of a time when you were there for someone who really needed you.

'I moved my husband and teenage daughter to oregon from minnesota to help care for my ailing grandmother and disabled mother. Financially and physically, they both needed 24 hour care combined, so i left my career to do so. '

Think of the person who was most meaningful to you growing up. What made them special to you?

'My grandparents on my mothers side. They instilled tradional morals, honest values and loyalty in me while growing up. They taught me that everyone is unique in their own way, and that everday is a gift. All these things molded me into a giving, unconditional loving, understanding, compassionate person. '

Please share one or two memories that you had with that person.

'While caring for my grandmother before her passing in november, i had countless memories I'd like to forget honestly... but the good ones, like trying to make cookies and almost burning every single one, or spending hours at the store looking at litterally everything... words can't describe the level of fun.'

How can I help create a supportive and positive work experience for you?

'I need to find strictly part time hours during the weekend because i can not leave my warehouse job.'
