Applicant's Story

Regarding your work experience, what's most appealing to you?

'The way I am able to do things'

When do you know you've done a good job?

'I feel it'

Why are you a caregiver... or want to become one?

'I wanna be a care giver so I could gain experience in care before I began my journey to be a MA. I also would take of my little brother growing up when my family was at work.'

Tell me of a time when you were there for someone who really needed you.

'My family really needed me when I would have to pick up my brother from school and baby sit? take care of him lintel my parents would get home.I'd cook meals for him play with him and make sure he did his homework before my parents would get home.'

Think of the person who was most meaningful to you growing up. What made them special to you?

'My mother is the most meaningful person in my life she always made sure to check in on me mentally and was always someone I can count on and when my family went through hard times financially she would work double jobs and stay extra hours to make sure we had food on the table and clothes on are backs. While doing that she always had everyone best interest.'

Please share one or two memories that you had with that person.

'When I went to college in Eugene even though are family was struggling with money she would sacrifice her money and time to make sure I have food to eat and the peace of mind that I can succeed in anything I put my mind too and that motivation and safety blanket feeling in a sense really helped me follow throughout and have a good year academically and make me feel less home sick. '

How can I help create a supportive and positive work experience for you?

'The biggest thing that could help me is being a bit flexible with my schedule and work site locations since I do go to school it would be nice if there was possible times during my car giving time period to get some work done and perhaps have me working with clients near my home.'
