An applicant’s likelihood to have control over their emotions. A caregiver who has high self-control is more likely to handle stressful situations well.

Motivated

An applicant’s likelihood to be resourceful and productive. A caregiver who is motivated is more likely to do their work in a timely manner.

Potential to Learn and Grow

Adaptable, Lover of Learning, Open-Minded, High Aptitude
An applicant’s desire to improve and become a better caregiver. An applicant with a high potential to learn and grow is more likely to improve skills and learn new skills over time.

Compassionate

Caring, Sympathetic, Empathetic, Sensitive
An applicant’s likelihood to have concern for their clients. A caregiver with a high level of compassion may be more attentive to their client.

Social Intelligence

Friendly, Outgoing, Social
An applicant’s likelihood to become involved in their client’s world and values. An applicant who shows a high degree of social intelligence has the capacity to maintain social behavior while respecting boundaries.

'I feel it'

What's most important to you about working in a home environment?

'Working in a home environment allows the client feel more independent and confortable. The client's comfort is an important aspect in this line of work.'

Share with us a time you created a positive experience for another person.

'I have had a client who was bored and wanted to do something different so I took her to get a manicure and she absolutely loved that luxury. It made her feel good and confident.'

What relationship was most important to you growing up? And why?

'My relationship with my parent's was the most and still is the most important to me. They took care of me from the very beginning and we often lose many friends throughout our lives, but I knew that my parent's would always be there for me.'

Please share one or two memories you have with that most important person from your childhood...

'One memory is when I was in 5th grade. My mother, sister and I were going to visit my step dad when he was away on a job in another state for a year. It was such a good feeling to have my whole family together even if it was just for the weekend.'

Other than giving you a job, if I could grant you one wish to help you on your journey... what would it be? And why?

'The feeling of being appreciated. I've had employers who did not make me feel like my work was appreciated and that made it very hard for me to want to be there. I enjoy being told when i'm doing a good job and also what I need to improve on.'
