Applicant's Story

Regarding your work experience, what's most appealing to you?

'The changes I can accomplish'

When do you know you've done a good job?

'The people I work with tell me'

Why are you a caregiver... or want to become one?

'I would like to become a caregiver, to give back to the tired families. Finding personal strength and increasing confidence. Most importantly to have the feeling of being needed by someone. '

Tell me of a time when you were there for someone who really needed you.

'A time I was there for someone who really needed me was my sister. My sister has a Auto immune deficiency disease, it’s a muscle disease she couldn’t walk. I had to help her up and down the stairs. I would also have to help her with her daily stretches. Those were just a few of the things that I had to help her with. '

Think of the person who was most meaningful to you growing up. What made them special to you?

'If I had to think of someone who was meaningful to me growing up it would be my sister. My sister is special to me in my eyes because when she was sick she didn’t really have nobody she only had me there to help her. During the time she was sick she couldn’t help her self we grew a bond, a special connection that has brought us closer than ever and I wouldn’t change it for the world. '

Please share one or two memories that you had with that person.

'A memory me and my sister had before we found out she was diagnosed with what she was diagnosed with, we had went to lagoon. Lagoon is like a amusement park with rides we were there the whole day just having fun and riding the rides being kids. '

How can I help create a supportive and positive work experience for you?

'Consistency is key , begin with gratitude, encourage positive thinking. Also remembering that employees are human begins, Not resources. while motivation aims at getting an employee to do something, Support runs much deeper.
